MOGADISHU, Somalia — At least two, from both sides, were died while others sustained wounds in gunfight between Somali National Forces [SNA] and al-Shabaab fighters near Qoryoley town in lower Shabelle region, south of Somalia on early Saturday.

The battle erupts after SNA forces carried out large operation at Farhan village, some kilometers from Qoryolay town, where military authorities said to have stayed al-Shabaab militants.

Locals in the settlement told Alrasdi News on phone that both side used during the skirmish light weapons including, AK 47, rocket-propelled grenade [RPGS] and others.

Qoryoley commissioner Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed [Gashan] claim huge victor from the fighting, despite al-Shabaab, so far, not spoke about on the condition.

Meanwhile, two Somali soldiers died after a hand grenade was threw into a home belonging to an official from South West state in Baidoa city, Bay province on Friday night, as al-Shabaab takes the responsibility.
